Technical details of the instrument

The Detection unit is the heart of the RD-100i where amplification and detection is carried out. The sample is heated to 65°C and the turbidity is measured.

The Reagent set unit is the location for reagents and samples.
Temperature is controlled to ensure optimal conditions for reagent stability. Reagents can be held on board the RD100i pending their use for intra-operative analysis of sentinel lymph nodes.

The Pipetting tray unit houses the sterile and conductive tips, which are used by the RD100i robotic system to ensure the correct and accurate pipetting of reagents and sample.
