Molecular principle - RT-LAMP
OSNA stands for One Step Nucleic Acid Amplification. OSNA is an automated procedure which provides a quantitative measurement of mRNA expression. OSNA uses an isothermal amplification method (RT-LAMP*) which offers the following advantages:

- Amplification time is only 16 minutes.
- Undesired amplification of genomic DNA is avoided.
- High specificity due to 6 different optimised primers.
- No prior purification of RNA is necessary.
- Fully automated amplification and detection using the » RD-100i.
- Easy to use without knowledge in molecular technologies.
*RT-LAMP= Reverse Transcriptase Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification;
